Job summary

AmeriPharma seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with home infusion expertise to join our team. The role combines infusion therapy and patient education, delivering in-home care and support for treatments such as TPN, IVIG, and IV biologics.

The RN will provide telephone and in-person education to patients, offering interventions and counseling guided by nursing judgment under the Director of Nursing, ensuring high compliance in home infusion programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN license.
• 2+ years of home infusion and infusion center experience.
• 2+ years with IV immunoglobulins and IV biologics; CRNI preferred.
• Experience with peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home infusion visits according to care plan.
• Document patient interventions in clinical and non-clinical records.
• Serve as clinical resource, collaborating with pharmacy and other teams.
• Educate patients on therapy protocols, side effects, and home infusion procedures.
• Explain therapy plans, medications, and adherence importance to patients and families.
• Coordinate initial and ongoing consultations as patient liaison between patient, family, and pharmacy.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and initiate preventative and rehabilitative care.
• Use assessment data to determine patient needs and adjust plans as needed.
