Job summary

Education includes Associate Degree in Nursing; KY RN licensure required (compact allowed). BLS required; BSN preferred with commitment to ongoing professional development. Shift is 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. within a hospital-based setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• KY RN licensure required; compact license acceptable.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required for specific units.
• BSN preferred; commitment to BSN within time frame.

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic assessments from admission to discharge across care continuum.
• Administers medications per licensure and documents timely.
• Plans care with patient and family using current standards.
• Identifies and prioritizes patient problems with care team input.
• Implements interventions to meet patient and family needs.
• Coordinates with unlicensed staff to ensure safe care delivery.
