Metro Infectious Disease Consultants in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise and administer infusion therapy four days per week at the clinic. The role emphasizes patient care, documentation, and coordination with physicians.

The ideal candidate holds a CA RN license with at least two years of RN office or infusion experience, and knowledge of chemotherapy is a plus. The position offers a balanced schedule with Fridays off and competitive compensation.

Qualificações

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CA RN license.
• At least 2 years RN office practice experience, infusion experience preferred.
• Chemo experience is preferred, but not required.
• Proof of current vaccinations (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19).

Responsabilidades

• Place peripheral lines and teach infusion patients to self-administer medications; document in the Medical Record.
• Review daily laboratory results and communicate to physicians/patients as needed.
• E-prescribe prescriptions at doctor’s order and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Receive and return patient calls.
• Review EMR charts for next day’s appointments and ensure required fields are completed in EMR.
• Respond to calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule appointments.
• Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
• Use clinical judgment to meet patient care needs and set priorities.
• Monitor safety and effectiveness of environment and equipment.
• Support professional practice by adhering to Standards of Nursing Practice, MIDC policies and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
