Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA).
• Ability to work in sterile compounding and hazardous drug environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound hazardous and non-hazardous sterile medications, including chemotherapy, biologics, and supportive care infusions, per USP 797/800 and IU Health policies.
• Perform accurate dose calculations, measurements, labeling, and documentation under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain aseptic technique in cleanroom environments (ISO Class 5/7/8).
• Manage inventory for infusion pharmacy areas, including receiving, stocking, rotating, and removing expired medications.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining adequate par levels for infusion medications and supplies.
• Support waste documentation, controlled substances handling, and hazardous drug disposal processes.
• Ensure timely delivery of prepared medications to infusion clinics and treatment areas.
• Communicate with pharmacists, nurses, and care teams regarding medication readiness and workflow status.
• Participate in quality improvements, safety reporting, and compliance audits.
