Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a Lake Butler, FL pharmacy. The role is direct hire with potential contract-to-hire, Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, onsite with a small team including two full-time pharmacists and two full-time technicians.

The PIC will oversee sterile compounding and infusion therapy, manage regulatory compliance, QA, and staff supervision, with ~100 prescriptions daily and 15–20 chemotherapy doses.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding per USP <797>/<800>, DEA, OSHA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Recent experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders with a focus on infusion therapy
• Perform final verification of compounded sterile preparations
• Review medication profiles including safety checks for allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility
• Maintain compliance with USP standards and oversee aseptic techniques and environmental monitoring
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians
• Manage quality assurance, medication safety, audits, and regulatory documentation
• Oversee inventory, controlled substances, and overall pharmacy operations
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs
• Lead staff meetings and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety guidelines, including PPE
