Optum is seeking an Infusion Staff Pharmacist to perform professional duties at our Home Infusion Pharmacy in Woburn, MA. The role focuses on patient safety, dispensing IG/chronic meds, and collaboration with caregivers and providers.

Typical schedule is Mon–Fri, 9:00am–5:30pm ET with an on-call rotation every third week; requires MA licensure and 1+ year of experience. Competitive benefits and on-site responsibilities accompany the hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist's license in the state of Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Ability to take calls after hours, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Available to participate in the on-call rotation based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, and related supplies following regulations and policies.
• Processes, packs and ships outgoing pharmacy orders with education materials included.
• Performs drug ordering, inventory and refrigeration duties and calibrates dispensing units.
• Monitors and verifies prescription orders and calibrates dosing pumps as applicable.
• Interprets prescriptions, accesses and inputs data in the computer system, and checks reimbursement/coverage.
