Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to assess and plan patient care on an assigned unit. You will perform initial and ongoing assessments, document care, and coordinate with the health care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, NIHSS, and a minimum of RN experience as described. You will participate in discharge planning, education, and performance improvement activities while maintaining standards of practice and patient safety across

• Excellent human relations and oral/written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and analyzes the health status of patients in assigned nursing unit in a comprehensive manner.
• Performs and/or assures completed assessments on all patients admitted within the designated time delineated in policy/unit standards.
• Performs ongoing assessments and documents according to policy and procedure.
• Reports significant findings of admission and ongoing assessments to appropriate health care team member.
• Initiates discharge planning with initial admission assessment and plans patient care with patient/family and health care team.
• Directs, implements and coordinates patient care activities on assigned unit to ensure quality care delivery.
• Communicates plan of care to the healthcare team during shift reports and daily worksheets.
