Job summary

Baptist Health's CBC Oncology Center in Louisville seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver direct adult/geriatric patient care in a chemotherapy and oncology setting. The RN uses the nursing process to assess needs, administer treatments, and collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and social workers to ensure safe care.

The role requires BSN preferred, active KY RN license, and BCLS; oncology certification and chemotherapy/bio certifications are preferred and should be pursued within

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing.
• Active KY Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 1 year Med-Surg or ED experience; Oncology experience preferred.
• BCLS required.
• Oncology nursing certification preferred.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferably during orientation or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status, including labs and diagnostic tests.
• Provide care per oncology nursing guidelines and policies.
• Educate patients on care and symptom management.
• Evaluate patient response to therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Demonstrate organizational and leadership skills.
