Local Infusion in Riverhead, NY is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—to ensure accurate referrals, authorizations, and patient-centered service. This full-time, on-site role supports both patients and referring physicians.

You will handle authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigations, and liaison with providers. Prior infusion experience and familiarity with EHR systems are preferred; strong medical terminology helps you deliver high-quality care with

Qualifications

• Health care experience required.
• Prior authorization experience in insurance.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment and communicate status of patients.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
