Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit in Houston is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to perform sterile compounding and support medication management, including ordering and maintenance. You will collaborate with a clinical team to ensure accuracy and compliance with USP 797/800.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license required.
• CSPT Certification required.
• At least 1 year of sterile compounding experience.
• Onsite work at Houston facility.”

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding according to company policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800.
• Maintain competency related to sterile compounding.
• Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including ordering, receiving, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding.
• Complete and document cleaning and monitoring activities for sterile compounding areas (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Work with a team to triage and respond to compounding needs promptly.
• Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding.
