Job summary

Optum Washington, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Senior Infusion Compounding Technician in Seattle to fulfill prescription orders including IVs, specialty meds, and related supplies. Responsibilities span sterile compounding in clean rooms under USP guidelines, with a pathway for training and advancement within a Fortune 5 leader.

The role offers a 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, at multiple Seattle locations, with competitive benefits and a supportive care-delivery mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Washington State required.
• Proficiency with Windows PC applications required.
• Willingness to travel to Seattle locations (addresses provided).
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Meet productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards with good attendance.
• Compound IV medications in a clean room environment.
• Follow USP 797 guidelines for sterile compounding.
• Follow USP 800 guidelines for handling hazardous medications.
• Ensure compliance with WA DOH, Board of Pharmacy, and DEA regulations.
• Maintain clean room and routine cleaning per SOPs.
• Manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Work independently but consult with the pharmacist when needed.
• Support other areas of the pharmacy as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
