Job summary

Candidates should have at least 2 years as a pharmacy technician or an AAS in Pharmacy Technology, Texas registration, and preferred IV certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of pharmacy technician experience or Associate of Applied Science in Pharmacy Technician.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) or Registered as a PharmacistIntern with TSBP.
• ACPE approved IV (sterile products) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists with drug distribution, technical and clinical services.
• Prepares and oversees preparation of complex medications.
• Supports medication therapy management and immunization activities.
• Maintains inventory control of medications, equipment, and supplies.
• Communicates effectively with healthcare professionals.
