Job summary

Specialty Infusion Center in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, is opening a new infusion center and seeks one full-time and one part-time Registered Nurse.

You will administer infusion therapies, perform assessments, monitor for adverse reactions, educate patients, and maintain meticulous documentation in a patient-centered outpatient setting. The role requires a Michigan RN license, 2+ years of clinical nursing experience, infusion therapy experience preferred, strong IV/vascular access, PICC/port

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Infusion therapy, oncology, critical care, home infusion, or home health experience preferred.
• Strong IV insertion and vascular access skills.
• Experience with PICC lines, ports, and central venous access devices preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV, subcutaneous, and other infusion therapies in an outpatient infusion center setting.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after treatments.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately using sound clinical judgment.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, side effects, treatment plans, and catheter care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Access and maintain central venous devices, including PICC lines and implanted ports.
• Operate and troubleshoot infusion pumps and related equipment.
• Follow all infection prevention, safety, and quality standards.
