Job summary

Insight Hospital & Medical Center in Flint, MI is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse to provide safe outpatient infusion and injection services. You will perform patient assessments, IV access, med administration, and coordination with the care team in a multi-site setting.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS certification; ACLS is preferred or may be required within 60 days. Prior infusion or outpatient experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or may be required within 60 days of hire.
• Previous infusion therapy or outpatient clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe infusion therapy care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer IV medications, biologics, monoclonal antibodies, and other infusion therapies per physician orders and protocols.
• Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and manage ports or PICC lines.
• Monitor patients during infusion for adverse reactions and intervene per clinical protocols.
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after infusion treatments.
• Educate patients on medications, procedures, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
• Document patient care, medication administration, infusion details, and patient responses in the EMR.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and medication safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe care.
• Assist with clinic workflow, including patient intake and vital signs.
• Willing to travel between clinic locations (e.g., Dearborn and Flint) as needed.
