Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Infusion Care Coordinator to intake and review referrals from patients in a professional, courteous manner, and route them to the proper department. You will maintain accurate records, obtain authorizations, and coordinate across multiple sites while documenting communications.

The role requires an associates degree or equivalent, familiarity with EMR systems, and a health-related background (LPN/RN/MA or Pharmacy Technician preferred).

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent
• Health-related field (LPN/RN/MA or Pharmacy Tech) preferred
• Proficient computer skills including EMR, Outlook and MS Word; Cerner/Soarian preferred
• Education in medical terminology preferred
• Fast-paced infusion care environment experience is a plus
• Ability to obtain, coordinate and process patient information promptly

Responsibilities

• Intake and review information from referrals and patients in a professional, knowledgeable and courteous manner
• Route patient referrals to the appropriate department or individual
• Establish and maintain accurate patient records
• Identify patients who require authorization for infusion services across multiple sites
• Coordinate intake and authorizations for multiple sites
• Document all patient communications and maintain insurance information
