Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a proactive Referral Coordinator I to support patients, providers, and clinical teams by managing referrals, authorizations, and insurance verification. This role ensures timely access to specialty care and diagnostic services within Baptist Health’s comprehensive network.

As part of a physician-led group, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and help maintain accurate patient records in the EHR while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Two years of related healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
• Referral, authorization, or insurance verification experience preferred.
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process internal and external referrals and authorizations.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations.
• Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care.
• Update patient information in the EHR system.
• Communicate with providers, patients, and insurance companies.
• Support quality patient care through exceptional customer service.
