Oso Home Care, Inc is seeking an experienced Intake Coordinator to join our Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy team in Burbank. The role centers on managing referrals, coordinating intake from receipt to service initiation, and ensuring timely access to infusion therapy for patients.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare intake and home infusion knowledge, strong insurance verification and prior authorization skills, and proficiency with EMR and pharmacy systems, coupled with excellent customer

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare intake, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or referral coordination.
Knowledge of medical terminology and payer guidelines.
Experience with insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
Familiarity with EMR and pharmacy management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

Serve as the primary contact for referrals and coordinate intake from referral receipt through admission.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPO, HMO, and other plans.
Coordinate prior authorization with physicians and insurers; track status.
Obtain and organize physician orders, progress notes, and other clinical documentation.
Collaborate with pharmacists to coordinate start dates, delivery schedules, and admissions.
Communicate with patients, families, and referral sources regarding status and responsibilities.
Maintain complete documentation in the EMR and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
