The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills while collaborating with patients, caregivers, providers, pharmacies, nursing agencies, and insurers. This is a full-time clerical position in Iowa City, IA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare, customer service, or a related field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients needing infusion or enteral therapy.
• Communicate with pharmacists to determine drug delivery methods and resolve needs.
• Conduct patient resupply calls and complete clinical screening.
• Ensure payer guidelines and regulatory standards for resupply.
• Obtain prior authorizations and verify insurance coverage.
• Identify nursing care needs and coordinate services with home health or nursing agencies.
• Monitor supply/medication usage and resolve shipping issues.
• Collaborate with referral sources and clinical teams to ensure service delivery.
• Participate in quality assurance and billing documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
