Job summary

The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) seeks a Nurse Clinical Coordinator to provide nursing leadership for the Urbandale Infusion Clinic, coordinating patient care and serving as a clinical nurse expert within UI Community Clinics. The role liaises with medical staff, management, and patients to ensure excellent customer service and education.

Responsibilities include staffing, care planning, evidence-based project involvement, and direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
• 1-3 years of nursing experience is required.
• Valid license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership and oversight for the Infusion clinic patient care populations.
• Coordinate care with nursing and medical staff across UI Community Clinics.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based projects within the specialty area.
• Provide health education to patients and health profession students.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and recruitment efforts.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care/nurse triage as needed and float to other clinics.
