Garmac Limited LLC is seeking an Infrastructure Technician II to install, test, and decommission structured cabling at a customer site in New Albany, OH. This hourly contract role requires 3–5 years of telecom cabling experience and travel flexibility within the U.S.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years telecom/structured cabling experience.
  • OSHA10 certification; must obtain within 90 days.
  • First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
  • FOA or BICSI cabling certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality structured cabling work across fiber, copper, and related systems.
  • Read project drawings and follow manufacturer guidelines precisely.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and organized work areas.
  • Support and mentor less experienced technicians on-site.
  • Plan materials, tools, and tasks to keep projects on track.

Infrastructure Technician II

Location: Fully onsite at customer site in New Albany, OH 43054

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm; schedule may change and requires flexibility for after-hours work and some weekends based on project demands.

Employment Type: Contract with possible contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates available to travel and support other U.S. sites as needed.

  • Standard work hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm (subject to change and requires flexibility for after hours and some weekends if project demands)
  • Location: Onsite - Customer Site in New Albany, OH
  • Openness to travel and support other sites within the U.S. as needed
Key Responsibilities
Deliver High-Quality Structured Cabling Work
  • Install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiberoptics, copper, communications, and otherlow voltagesystems.
  • Build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure.
  • Perform physical installations and removals with precision, safety, and attention to detail.
Champion Safety and Quality
  • Follow all Company and customer safety standards to ensure anAccident-FreeEverydayenvironment.
  • Uphold quality, production, and industry best practices in every installation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, andhazard-freework area to support efficient and safe operations.
Interpret and Execute Technical Plans
  • Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Apply broad understanding of structured cabling installation, routing, labeling, and commissioning.
  • Ensure installations meet design intent, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Support the Team and Mentor Others
  • Work as a proactive member of the team, supportingless experiencedtechnicians and sharing knowledge.
  • Help plan materials, tools, and tasks to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, teammates, and customer representatives.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3–5 yearsof telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
  • OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
  • First Aid/CPR certification within90 days.
  • FOA certifications, BICSI cabling certifications, or similar credentials preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on role in data centers and technology-rich environments.

You will:

  • Work primarilyindoors, with occasional outdoor tasks.
  • Experience moderate noise levels typical of construction and data center settings.
  • Regularlysit, kneel, stoop, climb, crawl, reach, talk, and hearduring tasks.
  • Frequentlystand and walkfor extended periods.
  • Regularly lift and/or moveup to 50lbsand frequently lift up to25 lbs.
  • Work intight or confined spaces, raised floors, and sometimes atheightsusing ladders or lifts.
  • Wear PPE and follow all safety protocols.
