Job Title: IT Infrastructure Support Engineer
Location: Peoria, ILLINOIS - ONSITE (NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE)

Responsibilities
- Configure and manage end-to-end infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking, databases, and identity) using Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot .NET web applications hosted on Internet Information Services (IIS) and integrate them with backend services and APIs.
- Automate environment provisioning and application deployments using CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps (YAML or classic pipelines).
- Perform daily deployments across multiple environments (Non Prod and Prod).
- Install, configure, and rebuild servers (Windows/Linux) and associated hardware, services, and storage in alignment with project and operational standards.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates and installation/configuration scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, or ARM templates.
- Research and implement automation and orchestration solutions to improve system reliability, scalability, and repeatability.
- Conduct daily system monitoring, ensuring availability, performance, and integrity of infrastructure components; review logs and monitor key application metrics.
- Implement centralized logging, metrics, and alerting through Azure Monitor, App Insights, or ELK Stack to improve observability and incident response.
- Perform security monitoring, vulnerability patching, and remediation aligned with CIS and NIST best practices.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery operations, validating RTO/RPO compliance across critical workloads.
- Manage user identity, access control, distribution lists, and security groups using Active Directory / Azure AD.
- Apply OS/application updates, security patches, and configuration changes using automated patch management tools and pipelines.
- Continuously optimize system performance, perform capacity planning, and fine-tune infrastructure for reliability and cost efficiency.
- Administer daily operations involving user management, system configuration, application deployments, and DevOps pipeline maintenance.
Background / Experience
- Proven experience in infrastructure administration, DevOps, and cloud environment management (Azure/AWS).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, version control (Git), and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Experience implementing general Infrastructure configurations on cloud platforms.
- Skilled in incident, problem, and change management following ITIL practices.
- Working knowledge of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, containers, serverless) and related services in AWS or Azure.
- Ability to apply process improvement principles, streamline deployment pipelines, and enhance operational resilience.
- Excellent problem solver, self-driven, and proactive in owning deliverables from design to deployment.
- Passionate about automation, reliability, and delivering high-quality, secure infrastructure solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems / Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
