Job summary

Propwr is seeking an Infrastructure Supervisor to analyze, recommend, and implement solutions for current systems and lead the IT team in Midland, Texas. The role focuses on security reviews, routine upgrades, and aligning technology with the company’s strategy while maintaining service levels for end users.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, strong communication, and hands-on work with Microsoft Azure and O365, plus Cisco Meraki.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of system administrator experience for Microsoft Azure and O365; Cisco Meraki experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades to current systems.
  • Lead IT team and supervise assigned IT personnel; handle performance and scheduling.
  • Maintain and improve IT operations including security tools, servers, email, devices, and software.
  • Coordinate hardware/software maintenance and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

This career site is for external applicants only.Job DescriptionThe Infrastructure Supervisor analyzes, recommends, and implements solutions and upgrades to current systems, continuously analyzes current system operations to identify areas of improvement, and acts as supervisory direct report to assigned Information Technology (IT) personnel.Responsibilities:Analyze, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades to current systemsFollow and develop cyber security reviewsSupport the organization’s overarching technology strategy by leading the IT teamCultivate an IT team culture that delivers best-in-class service to technology end-usersContinuously analyze and assess current processes, technology, and vendors to identify areas of improvementTrain and coach IT team and end-users on operating technologyCoordinate the maintenance of essential IT operations (i.e., operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware)Leverage technology to support both current and future infrastructure needsMaintain IT polices and build IT operating proceduresResearch and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and softwareEnsure network components meet the organization’s needsStaying current regarding new network features and other competitive solutionsManage cyber security within the organization by implementing technology, monitoring, and trainingManage the business’s operating environment using Microsoft based tools and systemsAct as supervisory direct report for assigned IT personnel (i.e., performance management, corrective action, training, defining daily priorities, creating work schedules, etc.)Manage time and attendance for assigned IT personnel. including timecard approval and paid time off requestsOversee the hiring of assigned IT personnel (i.e., collaborate with Human Resources recruiters, perform interviews, select qualified talent, etc.)Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Other duties as assigned Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising IT operationsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferredMinimum 3 years’ system administrator experience for Microsoft (Azure, O365) and Cisco Meraki TechnologiesExperience in oil and gas service industry preferred, but not requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organizationStrong leadership skills, able to coach, mentor, track performance, enact corrective action, and delegate duties to a teamExcellent time and project management skills, able prioritize workload to prioritizeStrong critical thinking and decision-making skillsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and AzurePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those required for an employee to successfully perform the role’s essential functions.
