Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to deploy, configure, and monitor complex data network environments. You will manage WAN/LAN infrastructure, implement routing and switching designs, and provide comprehensive end-user device support.

The role requires a minimum of six years of experience with at least four in network specialty, and a Secret clearance. Certifications like DoD 8570 IAT II and CCNA are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience with at least four years in network specialty.
• Experience with designing, testing, installing and maintaining computer networks.

Responsibilities

• Deploys, configures, maintains, and monitors active data network or converged infrastructure environments and related network equipment.
• Manages and maintains the WAN/LAN infrastructure.
• Provides support in deployment and configuration of routing and switching network designs.
• Monitors network issues and escalates them by severity.
• Provides Network Infrastructure, Cyber Transport, and Network Core Services support including SIPRNet connectivity via TACLANEs.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots Wi‑Fi networks and connected devices.
• Supports IT security by updating and protecting organizational websites and access management.
• Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, firmware, and network problems; repairs desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and wireless devices.
• Provides IT help desk support for basic user issues and IT involvement requests.
• Manages user accounts on relevant systems and platforms.
• Provides End User Device Support (Voice, Data, Video). Performs systems maintenance and repairs.
• Maintains servers, software, and networks.
