Job summary

LUMA Energy is seeking a hands‑on Hybrid Cloud Administrator to manage Azure and on‑prem workloads with a focus on reliability and security. You will automate deployments, monitor systems, and enforce compliance across environments.

You will coordinate with teams to maintain DR readiness, optimize costs, and document procedures while supporting incident response and recovery drills as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with hybrid cloud operations, automation, and DR/continuity tasks.
• Experience in incident resolution, monitoring, and data collection/interpretation.
• Ability to document policies, SOPs, and participate in small projects.
• Strong collaboration and communication across cross‑functional teams.
• Experience as SME and resource for internal/external clients.

Job Summary:

Ensures the stability, performance, and security of hybrid Azure and on premises environments by delivering advanced technical support, automation, system administration, and continuous monitoring to maintain service uptime and compliance. Contributes to organizational efficiency and business continuity by sustaining seamless cloud to on prem integration, governing configurations and cost usage, and executing DR and improvement activities that strengthen resilience and operational excellence.

Job Description:

• Provides technical support for hybrid workloads across Azure and on‑premises workloads to ensure optimal system performance, availability, and reliability.
• Implements automation and orchestration using PowerShell, Azure tools to streamline operations, reduce manual overhead, and improve deployment consistency and quality.
• Administers and secures cloud and on‑prem systems by managing patches, permissions, backups, and compliance controls to maintain a stable and protected environment.
• Monitors, analyzes, and troubleshoots hybrid cloud environments to resolve incidents, prevent recurring issues, and safeguard service uptime.
• Supports operational governance through DR readiness activities, accurate CMDB management, cost reporting, optimization recommendations, and documentation maintenance to sustain business continuity and informed decision‑making.
• Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
• Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
• Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Additional Job Description:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

Experience

5 years of experience with hybrid cloud operations, automation, system administration, monitoring, incident resolution, and DR/continuity tasks, and working with data collection, analysis and interpretation.

Experience working with documents, policies, SOP creation and implementation.

Experience leading or collaborating with small projects.

Experience as matter-expert and asset resource to provide support to internal/external clients.

Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 3 years of experience performing a previous positions as Specialist role.

High School or equivalent (GED) when accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of experience performing similar functions described and at least 5 years of experience performing a previous Specialist role.

Competencies (Skills)

• Hybrid Cloud & Systems Administration - Manages Azure and on‑prem workloads, identity synchronization, and integrated systems, incorporating experience with Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Linux+, VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V, and AWS/Azure fundamentals.
• Networking & Routing Protocols - Applies expertise in L2/L3 switching and routing, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, VRF segmentation, and routing protocols such as OSPF.
• Automation & Scripting Proficiency - Designs and maintains automated workflows using tools like PowerShell, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, Ansible, and SolarWinds Network Configuration Management.
• Monitoring & Incident Resolution - Utilizes tools such as SolarWinds NCM and Red Hat monitoring to proactively identify issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and restore service stability in cloud and on‑prem systems.
• Security & Compliance Orientation - Applies security standards, performs system hardening, and maintains compliance across hybrid environments.
• Disaster Recovery & Continuity Planning - Performs DR tests, validates recovery procedures, and supports continuity across hybrid workloads.
• Technical Communication & Collaboration - Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively with cross‑functional teams.
