Qualifications

  • Underground utility construction experience (2+ years).
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and document activities for gas standby appointments.
  • Must obtain operator qualifications (OQ) for natural gas tasks listed.
  • Must be able to obtain military installation access before probation ends.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing standby appointments and supervising contractors and excavators exposing utility infrastructure.
  • Inspections of construction conflicts and crossings near infrastructure to ensure CSU clearance rules compliance.
  • Report clearance violations under the CSU Near-Miss program.
  • Provide safe excavation guidance and conduct excavator field audits with internal and external customers.
