We are looking for a Safety Specialist to assist and support the development, training, and enforcement of all occupational safety and health initiatives required and/or related to utility construction and maintenance services, including but not limited to transmission, distribution, and telecommunications lines and related equipment/structures/facilities both overhead and underground.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all relevant utility construction safety and maintenance operating standards/codes/policies/guidelines in accordance with Federal, State, Company, and customer standards.
Work directly with the Safety & Workforce Development Manager to monitor, analyze, and interpret new and/or changing standards/codes/policies/guidelines.
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external team to provide direction and support on all relevant safety and maintenance standards/codes/policies/guidelines.
Travel extensively including overnight.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet customer demands/schedule, including overtime and emergency duty as requested (nights, weekends, holidays).
Perform other duties as assigned.
