Job summary

Mercor is seeking an experienced private equity associate to construct a detailed financial model for an infrastructure transaction from synthetic deal documents and to peer-review models produced by other contractors on the same deal. You will deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, sources, and explicit assumptions.

Mercor is hiring experienced private equity associates to build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack, then peer-review models built by two other contractors on the same transaction.

What you'll do

• Build a working financial model of an assigned infrastructure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack

• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions

• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard

Requirements

• 2-4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (infrastructure, power & utilities, or real estate / TMT M&A) followed by 1-2 years in infrastructure private equity

• Currently or recently an Associate at an infrastructure-focused PE fund, or the infrastructure arm of a multi-strategy manager

• Exposure to digital infrastructure — data centres, fibre, or towers

• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template

• Fluent English
