Job summary

Mercor is seeking an experienced private equity associate in New York to build a working financial model for an infrastructure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack, and to peer-review models created by two other contractors on the same deal.

You will deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and clearly stated assumptions, plus a concise rationale and review scores for each peer model.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years total experience in IB or PE roles, infra-focused preferred.
• Associate at an infrastructure PE fund or infra arm of a multi-strategy manager.
• Exposure to digital infrastructure: data centres, fibre, towers.
• Ability to build a financial model from source documents without a template.
• Fluent English.

What you'll do

• Build a working financial model of an assigned infrastructure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack

• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions

• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard

Requirements

• 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (infrastructure, power & utilities, or real estate / TMT M&A) followed by 1–2 years in infrastructure private equity

• Currently or recently an Associate at an infrastructure-focused PE fund, or the infrastructure arm of a multi-strategy manager

• Exposure to digital infrastructure — data centres, fibre, or towers

• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template

• Fluent English
