Raymond James in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Analyst or Associate in Municipal Public Finance to work with seasoned bankers on financing infrastructure for state and local governments, spanning sectors from transportation to housing.

You will build financial models in Excel, analyze debt structures, prepare client presentations, and help draft securities offering documents while developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, math or a related field.
• 1-4 years of related experience.
• FINRA SIE, Series 52, 63, and 50 licenses within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Understand Government Finance: analyze finances of cities, states, and public institutions.
• Pitch financing ideas to fund big projects for governments and sponsors.
• Build Financial Models: create Excel simulations to forecast costs, savings, and repayment strategies.
• Research Your Sector: stay updated on trends in sectors/geographies and inform the team.
• Execute Deals: analyze revenues, debt profiles, review documents, and assist with offering statements.
• Prepare Client Presentations: assist in pitch books and proposals for clients.
• Develop Marketing Materials: design content explaining deals to buyers and investors.
• Join Client Meetings: participate in virtual and in-person meetings with municipal clients.
