Job summary

Redwood Trust, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Manager in Englewood, CO to lead a team responsible for cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including Azure, migrate toward code and automation, and ensure cost-effective, scalable solutions.

The role demands deep Azure expertise, infrastructure-as-code, and strong vendor management, with a focus on disaster recovery, uptime, and security alignment. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years leading enterprise infrastructure design and support.
• Azure experience across networking, identity, compute, governance.
• Operational stability, uptime, disaster recovery and capacity management.
• Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization, storage, networking.
• Infrastructure as code and CI/CD experience; sequence automation by value.
• Intune across Windows and Mac.
• Experience managing vendors/managed service providers; SLAs.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management.
• PowerShell, Python or similar scripting.
• Ability to set priorities among competing constituencies.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the infrastructure engineering team and set documentation standards.
• Provide design and configuration leadership for fault-tolerant, cost-effective, scalable solutions.
• Own the Azure environment including landing zones, governance, networking, identity, compute, storage, and cost.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code and pipeline-based delivery with Terraform or Bicep; use Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Oversee remaining on-premises and hybrid estate; decide what to migrate or retire.
• Own backup, DR, and business continuity with tested recovery objectives.
• Manage endpoint program across Windows and Mac via Intune; imaging and patching.
• Oversee monitoring, alerting, capacity, performance planning; automate to reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with security to implement controls and meet SOX ITGCs; patching schedules.
• Manage vendor relationships and infrastructure budget; justify renewals.
• Maintain documentation, standards, and service-management discipline.
• Establish sustainable on-call coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
