Job summary

Sapphire Health in New Orleans is seeking a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer to build, configure, operate, and optimize the infrastructure stack across VMware vSphere, NetApp ONTAP, Rubrik, and Azure/AWS. You will own platform administration, migrations, performance tuning, and incident response for a portfolio of 1,000+ servers.

You will collaborate with a Technical Architect and junior staff, pursuing certifications and expanding your expertise to strengthen resilience of healthcare

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering across virtualization, storage, identity, and cloud.
• Hands-on with VMware vSphere (vCenter and ESXi) and other enterprise hypervisors encouraged.
• Experience with Cisco UCS and Dell PowerEdge hardware.
• Experience with NetApp ONTAP storage and backups (Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault).
• Cloud administration across Azure and AWS; identity infrastructure (AD, Entra ID, PKI).
• Citrix/VDI experience a plus; Azure Virtual Desktop familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain the VMware vSphere environment hosting all server workloads.
• Provision and manage Cisco UCS and Dell PowerEdge compute resources.
• Provision and right-size VMs supporting clinical and business workloads across 1,000+ servers.
• Support the Citrix Hypervisor environment underpinning virtual desktop delivery.
• Manage NetApp ONTAP storage, including volumes and replication; monitor performance.
• Administer Rubrik data protection and perform restores and testing.
• Manage cloud resources across Azure and AWS; assist hybrid connectivity work.
