Job summary

NKC Health seeks a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to act as the technical lead for our Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure. You will help craft long-term technology roadmaps, oversee cloud strategies and migrations, and ensure robust data backups, BC/DR, and cyber resilience across critical systems.

The role requires deep expertise in Windows, AD/Entra ID, VMware, and hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on governance, security, and scalable infrastructure to support NKC Health

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience in a healthcare organization or large health system.
• Experience with enterprise Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, storage platforms, VMware virtualization, Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration, BC/DR, ransomware protection, cyber resilience, and data center infrastructure.
• Advanced skills in infrastructure architecture, lifecycle management, security hardening, high availability, replication, performance and capacity optimization, platform upgrades, governance, compliance, migration, recovery, and cloud integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead as technical lead to ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operation of Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Develop long-term strategic technology roadmaps for NKC Health enterprise systems and cloud strategies.
• Research and recommend new technologies to meet financial and operational goals and provide SME across technology deployed in the health system.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Supervisor, the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineers role is to engage as the technical lead to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure. This individual will assist in developing the long-term strategic technology roadmaps for NKC Health enterprise technology systems, cloud strategies and migration, data backups and restoration, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR)and other duties as assigned. This role will research and recommend new technologies to increase the financial and operational strategic goals at NKC Health and provide Subject Matter Expertise in a broad range of technology deployed throughout the health system.term strategic technology roadmaps for NKC Health enterprise technology systems, cloud strategies and migration, data backups and restoration, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR)and other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE

At least 10 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience in a healthcare organization or large health system, supporting mission-critical, regulated clinical and business environments. Experience must include enterprise Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, storage platforms, VMware virtualization, Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration, business continuity, disaster recovery, ransomware protection, cyber resilience, and data center infrastructure. SPECIAL SKILLS Advanced skill in infrastructure architecture, lifecycle management, security hardening, high availability, replication, performance and capacity optimization, platform upgrades, governance, compliance, migration, recovery, and cloud integration across physical, virtual, hybrid, and cloud environments. Working knowledge of networking, power, cooling, and environmental systems is required. Experience with Pure, Nimble, and/or Dell EMC storage is preferred.

Omnissa Certified Engineer - Horizon (OCEH); Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/801), Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102); Broadcom/VMware VCP-VVF, VCP-VCF, or VCP-DCV; AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Cohesity Protection Associate - Data Protect; Pure Storage Certified Administrator - Flash Array (PSCAFA) or Flash Blade (PSCAFB); Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCSE)
