Job summary

WRITER is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our hybrid team across New York, San Francisco, Seattle, or London. You’ll own reliability of core services, automate the stack, and scale platforms to support enterprise AI workloads.

The role emphasizes on-call ownership, incident analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable improvements in performance and cost efficiency. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in large-scale production environments, strong containerization

Qualifications

5+ years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or similar high-growth environment.
Experience running containerisation in production with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform or Pulumi on at least one major cloud.
AI-enabled workflows and agentic tooling in daily work.
First-principles reasoning and strong problem solving in reliability contexts.

Responsibilities

Maintain reliability, performance, and efficiency of WRITER's core services end-to-end.
Define SLOs, carry the on-call pager, and lead incident response.
Design scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management with Python or Go.
Collaborate with product, security, and engineering peers to align infra with business goals.
