Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to join our team supporting critical operations within the Defense sector. This fully remote role focuses on maintaining and evolving a highly available, Oracle-centric infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle Linux, Oracle Hypervisor, and Dell PowerFlex, along with broad infrastructure knowledge to support enterprise systems in a secure and performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and support the day-to-day operations of enterprise infrastructure systems.

Administer and optimize Oracle Linux environments and Oracle Hypervisor platforms.

Operate and maintain Dell PowerFlex storage systems.

Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness across all supported systems.

Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.

Support Oracle applications and databases in a complex, integrated environment.

Collaborate with application, security, and network teams to maintain operational continuity.

Proactively plan for capacity, scaling, and future growth needs.

Implement and maintain best practices for data protection, backup, and restore processes.

Qualifications :

U.S. Citizenship (required due to the nature of Defense sector work).

5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering or systems administration.

Strong experience with Oracle Linux and Oracle Hypervisor.

Hands-on experience with Dell PowerFlex (formerly VxFlex).

Solid understanding of HA / DR concepts and technologies.

Generalist-level expertise across x86 servers, block and shared file storage, networking, fibre channel, and security controls.
