Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Reporting into the President, Global Infrastructure, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will provide technical expertise for various Ad Populum LLC’s cloud-based data centers as it relates to infrastructure and servers. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with and assist other members of the Global Technology team.

This is predominantly a remote environment, however infrequent travel to assist with other data centers or office locations may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
• Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
• Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
• Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Replace faulty network and system hardware components when required.
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software. Responsible for on-site and off-site data centers.
• Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
• Confer with network users about solving existing system problems.
• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
• Coordinate computer network access and use.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in multi-location cloud-based data centers.
• Experience must include Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Cloud Services. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Google Cloud Computing Services, or other mainstream cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• In depth knowledge of virtualized network infrastructure, including Firewalls, IPS, Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, and monitoring tools.
• Network security experience; Endpoint, Server, Cloud, Mail, XDR, and Packet Capture.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server with virtualization including Clustered VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Experience in implementing VoIP systems, including traffic prioritization.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
• Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.

The hiring range for this onsite position is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year.
