Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Remote

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Engineer to own and support critical infrastructure systems across on-premise and cloud environments. This role will focus on Windows Server administration, Azure infrastructure management, and Privileged Access Management (PAM). You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure uptime, scalability, and security across the IT estate, while supporting change management and MSP coordination as needed.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory/Group Policy.
• Experience administering Office 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Familiarity with BeyondTrust PAM or similar privileged access management solutions.
• Experience managing hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Python) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based change management and documentation.
• Understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD), DNS/DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with backup/DR tools (e.g., Rubrik, Veeam).
• Exposure to cybersecurity tools and concepts, including MFA and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Administer Windows Server, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and file server configurations.
• Manage core Azure resources: virtual machines, storage, networking, and cost controls.
• Support and optimize Office 365 configurations across Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Manage Hyper-V environments and provide general infrastructure-level virtualization support.
• Administer and maintain BeyondTrust PAM, enforcing privileged access controls and monitoring critical systems.
• Implement and enforce privileged access security best practices across the enterprise.
• Partner with stakeholders to plan, document, and execute infrastructure changes in alignment with business priorities.
• Act as a liaison with MSPs to drive issue resolution, SLA adherence, and infrastructure project delivery.
• Provide infrastructure support to business-critical initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain system uptime and performance using monitoring tools and alerting systems.
• Recommend and implement improvements to increase infrastructure reliability and scalability.
• Maintain documentation of systems, policies, and processes.
• Generate reports related to infrastructure health, performance, and change activities.
