Calqulate Metrics Ltd. is seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer in Las Vegas, NV (onsite) to support a high-performance software development environment. The role blends cloud, virtualization, networking, security, and automation to drive reliability and governance.

The ideal candidate will understand how technical decisions impact reliability and security and will own end-to-end infrastructure for development teams, with a focus on automation and process improvement.

Formación

• Hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with VMware vSphere ESXi environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Solid networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing and firewalls.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration and security.
• PowerShell scripting and automation to improve processes.
• Dev/Test environment support for software development teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own Azure and Microsoft 365 administration and ensure identity and access controls.
• Manage and optimize VMware vSphere environments for reliability.
• Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
• Design and monitor network infrastructure, firewalls, and security controls.
• Oversee endpoint security and system hardening strategies.
• Develop PowerShell automation to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Support Dev/Test environments for software teams and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide infrastructure monitoring, backup planning, and disaster recovery.

This is not a traditional systems administration role.

My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who understands how cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation work together to support a high-performance software development environment.

The strongest candidates don't simply administer systems. They understand why systems are designed a certain way, how technical decisions impact reliability and security, and how infrastructure choices support the business.
