The role requires hands-on TIRKS experience and a solid understanding of telecom topology, circuit provisioning, and related technologies. The incumbent will design and update circuit layouts, maintain network records, resolve inventory discrepancies, and support provisioning across a complex telecom network.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience using TIRKS.
• Experience with TIRKS data entry, circuit inventory, and circuit record maintenance.
• Experience with telecommunications circuit design, layouts, or provisioning.
• Understanding of telecommunications network topology, circuit routing, and connectivity.
• Knowledge of fiber optics, Ethernet, SONET, DWDM, or TDM technologies.

Aufgaben

• Design and update Layer 1 circuit layouts and records within TIRKS.

We are currently seeking Telecom Circuit Design Technician’s for remote 12+ month contracts (high possibility of extension).

Schedule: 40 hours per week; schedule may fall within 7:00 AM EST to 7:00 PM MST

Compensation: Targeting $30 - $35/hour W2

Position Overview

We are seeking an Infrastructure Design Technician to support telecommunications network order fulfillment, circuit design, and network inventory management. This role is responsible for designing and updating Layer 1 circuit layouts, maintaining accurate network records, resolving inventory discrepancies, and supporting circuit provisioning across a complex telecommunications network. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on TIRKS experience, a solid understanding of network topology, and experience with circuit design, inventory updates, and provisioning processes.

• Design and update Layer 1 circuit layouts and records within TIRKS.
• Maintain accurate network inventory and resolve circuit discrepancies.
• Process internal network orders in accordance with SLAs and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Planning and Engineering teams on circuit design, routing, and provisioning.
• Support network technologies including DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet, IP, and fiber optics.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and support network troubleshooting, installation, and testing.

Required Qualifications

• Understanding of telecommunications network topology, circuit routing, and network connectivity.
• Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and technologies, including fiber optics, Ethernet, SONET, DWDM, or TDM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OMNIvue/OmniView or other telecommunications inventory and design systems.
• Experience with additional telecom systems such as WMS, WFMT, or BOSS.
• Background in network planning, engineering support, or telecommunications infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with optical networking equipment from vendors such as Ciena, Fujitsu, or Alcatel-Lucent.
• Experience supporting inside-plant fiber-optic infrastructure, construction, or operations.
• Knowledge of on-net and off-net routing requirements.
