Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks an Infrastructure Design Technician for a remote 12-month contract. The role focuses on designing circuit paths, loading equipment, and producing precise design records to support network failures and maintenance across Layer 1 technologies.

Responsibilities include collaboration with Planning and Engineering to provision equipment, manage fiber configurations, and ensure orders meet SLAs with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience designing infrastructure circuits in a telecommunications network.

Responsibilities

• Design circuit paths and equipment loads for internal network orders.
• Produce accurate design layout records supporting failures and maintenance.
• Create Layer 1 circuit layout records reflecting DWDM, SONET, TDM, Ethernet and IP.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies per database and job aids.
• Collaborate with Planning/Engineering to provision equipment and circuits.
• Understand fiber cable configurations for solutions.
• Maintain network infrastructure records across applications.
• Process orders per SLAs with on-time performance and quality.
