Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants in Oklahoma City is seeking a Design Engineer to lead design on municipal infrastructure projects, using BIM/CAD tools and both hand and computer-based calculations. You will coordinate with internal and external design disciplines and prepare deliverables per PEC standards.

The role requires ABET-accredited education, strong communication, and the ability to organize multiple projects, with potential for EIT certification.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Engineer in Training certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Experience with CAD and BIM software.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations, and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering and coordinate with design staff for construction documents.
• Review submittals, conduct site investigations, and respond to RFIs.
• Perform hand and computer-based design and takeoff calculations.
• Organize multiple projects to PEC standards and schedules.
• Coordinate project information per corporate workflows.
• Communicate with the design team to complete tasks on multiple projects.
• Assist with additional projects as required.
