Blackstone Group L.P. seeks an Investment Analyst to support the Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit team within Blackstone Credit.

You will perform due diligence, build financial models, and assist in investment memos for transportation-focused opportunities, collaborating with multiple teams to underwrite deals. The role emphasizes strong modeling, Excel/VBA, and presentation skills, with salary in a base range and comprehensive benefits; location is New York, NY, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Desire to work in a team environment, often under competing deadlines.
• Strong financial modeling skills, with past experience modeling and evaluating transactions.
• Excellent technical proficiency in Excel/VBA.
• Prior experience preparing presentation materials using PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience at an investment bank (ABS/Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance), consulting firm, a sell-side structuring or trading desk, or a hedge fund.
• Past Structured Transportation experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence on prospective credit investments, focusing on transportation, meeting originators, and drafting materials.
• Diligence and underwrite investment opportunities with internal teams.
• Build financial models and evaluate deal structures.
• Engage with rating agencies and assist in ratings processes.
• Draft memoranda for investment committees.
• Monitor existing investments by tracking KPIs and challenging theses.
• Suggest process improvements for the team.
