Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of municipal capital improvement projects, public infrastructure construction, and/or private development projects.
Inspect public streets, driveways, utility mains, and/or other infrastructure.
Perform COP, erosion control, and/or other types of inspections.
Review project plans and monitor contractor compliance with regulatory requirements, project specs, and quality standards.
Prepare and maintain various inspection records, reports, and documentation.
Communicate with developers, contractors, and other parties regarding inspection issues and construction matters.
Respond to inquiries and complaints; assist with investigations as required.
Review/approve engineering plans and development permits.
Assist with floodplain management activities as assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
