Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize IT infrastructure across multiple client environments, with a focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud technologies, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the confidence to manage technical projects independently while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows desktop OS, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, identity management, endpoint administration, and access controls.
• Networking expertise with TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, wireless, and VPNs.
• Experience implementing infrastructure solutions, migrations, or leading technical projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities, including client interaction.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate with technical teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to client environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and related enterprise systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex server, workstation, network, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, storage, virtualization, and endpoints.
• Configure and support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless, and VPNs.
• Monitor system health, strengthen security measures, and maintain backups and recovery solutions.
• Execute infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and deployments.
• Develop disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and infrastructure standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and security through proactive maintenance.
• Consult with clients to understand requirements and communicate progress.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalations.
