Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the MetalDev RAS team within Hardware Engineering. You will coach engineers, drive reliability, and own KPI-driven outcomes for a high-scale bare-metal infrastructure stack powering AI workloads.

You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people leadership, fostering an on-call culture, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, performant infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading software/infra/SRE teams.
• 7+ years of cloud operations, SRE, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Solid grounding in incident management practices (ITIL, SRE).
• Experience leading teams that develop software in Go or similar languages with code reviews.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Track record of defining and driving reliability metrics (SLAs/SLOs/KPIs) and operational improvements at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead a first-line management team and drive reliability of MetalDev RedFish services in production.
• Define KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs aligned with reliability objectives.
• Champion system observability and health; use Prometheus and Grafana to detect bottlenecks.
• Set automation strategy to reduce toil across server hardware lifecycle.
• Reduce on-call incidents through long-term improvements and proactive measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors on platform reliability and disaster recovery.
• Own incident response processes, runbooks, RCA/PIR practices.
