Job summary

A leading data and AI company in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for critical components of their compute platform. You will own the evolution of the platform, hire exceptional engineers, and work closely with leadership to define strategies that influence product and customer experience. The role requires over 10 years of experience in distributed systems and at least 3 years in engineering management, ideally with expertise in cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure and containerized environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the compute platform to support all Databricks workloads.
• Hire exceptional engineers and invest in their growth through coaching.
• Partner with leadership to define long-term strategy and roadmaps.
