Job summary

JTEC Consulting, LLC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (TS/SCI w/ Poly) for 100% on-site work in Chantilly, VA. You will architect and operate highly available cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS services, Terraform, and modern observability tools. A current TS/SCI with polygraph and U.S.

citizenship are required. The role emphasizes DevOps, security best practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems in a DoD/private sector

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship
• Current TS/SCI with agency-specific polygraph required for consideration
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (equivalent years of direct experience considered in lieu of a degree)
• Mid-Level: 5+ years of infrastructure or DevOps engineering experience with a focus on AWS and Kubernetes
• Senior Level: 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with advanced architectural design of scalable, distributed systems
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to work as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain highly available systems using Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Optimize and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3)
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Design robust routing and DNS solutions for high availability and performance
• Manage messaging platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka for large-scale data streams
• Monitor system health with Grafana and implement logging/alerting
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex cloud systems and enforce security best practices

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline

Equivalent years of direct experience considered in lieu of a degree
