Job summary

JTEC Consulting is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize mission-critical data center infrastructure in Chantilly, VA. The role requires hands-on leadership, end-to-end operations, and a current TS/SCI with poly clearance for consideration.

You will oversee hardware, network, and storage systems, coordinate rack installations, cabling, power, and cooling, and produce auditable architectural documentation. The position is on-site with relocation support where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required; equivalent experience considered
• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise or data center environments
• Strong written and verbal communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Configure, provision, and maintain Cisco switches and firewalls for reliable network performance and security.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Dell, HPE server hardware across diverse workloads.
• Oversee rack installations, hardware lifecycle refreshes, replacements, and maintenance schedules.
• Document architectural diagrams, rack elevations, and network topologies using Visio or DrawIO.
• Develop SOPs, runbooks, and asset tracking for data center assets.
• Model and optimize power distribution and cooling for rack density and margins.
• Design structured cabling architectures (fiber and copper) and ensure proper labeling and patching.
• Manage NAS/SAN storage platforms and monitor performance and latency to ensure availability.
