Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop CAPEX roadmaps for critical electrical infrastructure and to lead end-of-life retrofits and capacity expansions in our 24x7 fabrication facilities. You will ensure scalable, safe, and resilient power distribution to support world-class manufacturing.

The role requires an ABET-accredited EE degree and 2+ years of industrial electrical design experience, with MV/LV systems knowledge and strong project leadership.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license is preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in electrical design or industrial projects.
• Experience with MV/LV equipment, fault studies, protection relays.
• Experience with MCCs, ATS/STS, transformers, UPS and generators.
• Knowledge of VFDs and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory codes (NFPA, IEC) and ETAP/SKM software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, code compliance, and safety validation for power distribution systems.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Develop electrical specifications for MV/LV equipment.
• Author feasibility reports and CIP/R&M designs.
• Coordinate with external consultants and contractors.
• Ensure SEMI F47 compliance and perform arc-flash analyses.
• Support ISO 50001 audits and energy-efficiency initiatives.
