Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Infra Cost Leader to streamline cost processes across S2 Infra, collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and executives, and drive major initiatives. The role focuses on data-driven cost control, metrics, and compliant procedures, with visibility to company leadership.

You will lead TFTs, manage projects, and mentor direct reports while ensuring adherence to SAS guidelines and export controls.

Qualifications

• BS degree required - Engineering, Industrial Engineer or related field preferred.
• Semiconductor MFG experience required - Five+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Project management skills required; formal training preferred
• Sr Engineer or higher (Internal SAS Candidates)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with S2 Infra Departments (Facility Services, HVAC, Electric, GCS, AT, iQA, WTR) to improve team metrics.
• Collect and analyze cost data; improve cost metrics like Invoicing TAT, On-time Payment, System Utilization, and expenses.
• Participate in and manage TFTs to improve cost processes.
• Work with Infra Engineering, manufacturing, Sister Fabs, support groups, and executives to ensure compliance with specs and guidance.
• Lead deployment of medium to large-scale cross-functional projects with executive visibility.
• Analyze cost control, identifying improvements for major and minor indices in sub-department processes.
• Communicate analysis results and drive improvements with peers, managers, and executives.
• Identify opportunities and drive CIP Work implementations.
• Manage project programs: daily/weekly/monthly metric reporting and status updates.
• Enforce rules and systems-based operation; ensure SAS procedures evolve.
• Demonstrate proficiency in project management, reporting, data visualization, and data mining.
• Hire, train, supervise, and perform quarterly reviews of direct employees.
