Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, Texas, seeks a Taylor Infrastructure Cost Manager in Infra Innovation Ops to streamline cost processes, oversee budgets, and drive vendor compliance across facilities. The role leads cross-functional teams, guides cost-control initiatives, and reports metrics to executives.

Expect extensive collaboration with Facility Services, HVAC, Electric, and other groups. The ideal candidate brings BS engineering or related field, 5+ years semiconductor manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS degree required - engineering, natural science or related field preferred.
• Semiconductor MFG experience required - Five + years of engineering experience preferred.
• Project management skills required; formal training preferred
• Self-motivated and strong at motivating others.
• Cost Management Background is a positive.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective collaboration with Taylor Infrastructure Departments to improve team metrics.
• Data collection, analysis, and collaborative improvements of Taylor cost metrics including Invoicing TAT, On time Payment, System Utilization, rules compliance, expense control, promo of savings.
• Participate and Manage TFTs activities to improve cost processes.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, manufacturing, Sister Fabs, support groups, and executives to ensure compliance to external and internal specifications and guidance.
• Lead the deployment of medium to large-scale projects that are cross-functional in nature and have visibility to company executives.
• Analyze and make recommendations to help improve cost control focusing on major and minor indices for each sub-department’s processes and programs.
• Communicate the results of analysis, drive improvements and share with peers, managers, and executives.
• Study opportunities and drive implementation for CIP Work.
• Project management, daily/weekly/monthly metric reporting, and status updates
• Enforce rules and systems based operation to all employees while ensuring SAS procedures are continuously evolving and current
• The position will require an extensive amount of time working directly with and supporting the FS team functions. Expectation is to have proficiency in project management, reporting, data visualization, and data-mining.
• Hire, train, supervise, and performance manage direct employees.
• Perform employee quarterly reviews of direct employees.
